Over a period of time (last few years) I have developed a bit of a Brownie-passion.
It did not matter where I was, I wanted to try-out the local or “mainstream” supplier of Brownies but whilst many were good, I wanted more than just “good”, the below recipe is “trial&error” until my husbands face lite up like a firework after the first bite.
I am happy to share this with you to celebrate a chocolate explosion in your mouth.
The fudgiest brownies ever!

Equipment
- 1 tin 30 x 20 cm
Ingredients
- 200 g dark chocolate
- 200 g butter
- 275 g granulated sugar
- 4 eggs
- 150 g white flour
- 50 g cacao powder
- 100 g chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 180 ℃. Line the baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Add the dark chocolate, butter and sugar to a pan, and melt on low heat. Stir frequently so the chocolate doesn't burn, and melt until it's smooth.
- Transfer the mix to a bowl, and leave to cool for 10 minutes.
- Add in the eggs, one at a time, stiring in fully each time.
- Add in the flour, cocoa powder, and stir until combined.
- Pour the mixture into the tin, and then sprinkle over the chocolate chips.
- Bake the brownies in the oven for 30-35 minutes.
- Leave the brownies to cool in the tin fully.
Tip:
- To have the best result, place the brownies into the fridge over night.
