Small chocolate lava cakes
This recipe is perfect, when you are craving for something chocolaty delicious or want to impress your family and friends (enjoyed by both by children and adults).
Equipment
- 6 ceramic ramekins
Ingredients
- 85 g butter
- 85 g bittersweet (dark) chocolate
- 3 eggs
- 100 g granulated sugar
- 50 g all-purpose flour
- 16 g cacao powder (backkakao)
- 1 pinch of salt
Instructions
- First you need to spray 6 small ceramic ramekins with non stick spray. Preheat oven to 230 ℃.
- Chop the chocolate and melt it together with the butter on the stove (medium heat) until it is almost completely melted. Then set aside to let it cool.
- Beat the eggs and sugar together until light-colored and thick.
- While beating, slowly pour the chocolate mixture into the egg mixture, then quickly beat in the flour, and mix until just combined.
- Distribute the batter between the prepared ramekins. The dough does not rise much, so you can fill the ramecins.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the outside is cooked and the inside is soft.
- Remove from oven and leave them to cool for a few minutes.
- Take a plate on the top of the ramekin then flip over.
- Serve it while still warm. Top it with whipped cream or your favourite ice cream.
Tip:
- Dust with powdered sugar if you want to look a little more fancy. Bake this right before you want to serve it. Enjoy!
