There are so many delicious dishes in this world and that’s why I could never tell you which one is the best because I always discover something new and better.
But I can tell you one thing, that is hard to beat, warm freshly baked bread with butter. My husband loves it with olive oil. I love the simplicity of it.
This recipe is for everyone. Because you don’t have to knead the dough (very time-saving) and it’s not complicated at all.
So go for it!
Artisan Bread
The most delicious bread of all time, with no kneading. Soft on the inside and crusty on the outside.
Equipment
- 1 cast iron pot
Ingredients
- 600 g flour
- 4 g dry yeast
- 1 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 300 ml warm water
Instructions
- Combine flour, yeast, and salt in a large bowl. Add water, mixing all of the ingredients. The dough will be wet, sticky, and shaggy.
- Place a dry tea towel over the top and leave it in a warm place for about 2-3 hours, until double-sized.
- Preheat oven to 250℃ 30 minutes before baking. Place a cast iron pot in the oven with the lid.
- Scrape the dough out of the bowl onto the work surface with a spatula. Roughly form a round shape.
- Measure out a large piece of parchment paper. Roll the dough slowly onto the paper. Remove the pot out of the oven and transfer the dough into the pot.
- Cover with a lid and bake for 30 minutes. Then remove the lid and bake for an additional 12-15 minutes, until the loaf is beautifully golden browned.
- Let it cool briefly before slicing.
