After being impressed by the cliffs of the Amalfi coast, nearly as impressive was the homemade lemonade I drank afterwards.
I got this receipt from an old Italian Grandmother (has been in her family for generations).You only need to make lemon syrup and you can prepare it in advance so that you can make a quick lemonade at home whenever you want. I love fresh lemons and always have some in stock. Here we go:

Homemade Lemonade
Freshly Squeezed Lemonade will impress your taste buds so much that you will never want to buy any in the groceries again.
Equipment
- 1 Lemon Squeezer
Ingredients
Lemon Syrup (250 ml)
- 125 ml water
- 125 g granulated sugar
- 1 tablespoon grated lemon zest
- 4 lemons (125 ml)
Lemonade
- 40 ml lemon syrup
- 250 ml mineral water
- 1 handful of ice cubes
Instructions
Lemon Syrup
- Grate the lemon zest, cut the lemons in two, and squeeze out the juice.
- Put water, sugar, and the lemon zest in a pot on the stove. Let boil down syrupy consistency while stirring constantly.
- Add the lemon juice and cook again until boiled again for another minute.
- Pour the syrup through a sieve and pour into a bottle with the help of a funnel.
Lemonade
- To serve, pour 40 ml of syrup into a glass with ice cubes and top it off with some mineral water (to your own taste). Enjoy!
