Brown Sugar Syrup
- 200 g brown sugar
- 200 g water
Iced Brown Sugar Shaken Espresso
- 2 shots espresso
- 2 teaspoons brown sugar syrup
- 150-200 ml skimmed milk
- 1 cup of ice cubes
- 1 dash of cinnamon
Brown Sugar Syrup
In a small sauce pan, mix together the brown sugar and water.
Bring the mixture to a simmer over medium-low heat. Stir continuously until the brown sugar has dissolved.
Simmer the mixture for 2-3 minutes. The syrup will still be quite thin when hot. Remove the pan from the heat and let it cool.
Pour the syrup into a heat-proof airtight glass container. Enjoy!
Iced Brown Sugar Shaken Espresso
Brew your espresso and pour it into a tall mason jar with about 1 cup of ice. Add the syrup, cover it with a lid and shake vigorously for 5 seconds.
Pour into a tall glass including the ice. Top up with skimmed milk and sprinkle with cinnamon if desired.
